Thank you berry much for coming to the event and all the bottle caps! The purple heart was a huge success beyond my wildest imagination. I didn’t expect so many of you to be there but you did, and your presence made this special moment in our relationship even more special.
It was actually very anxious for me to see how Lemon react to the purple heart when it was first unveiled. We actually managed to top it up to about 95% full. Lemon didn’t approve it at first but thanks to the crowd with some last minute caps donation we finally managed to get it filled all the way up and earned the endorsement from the most important person in my life.
Later she told me she faked it and was already very happy when she saw the heart at first, this girl is very good at acting!
There were people from all walks of life attending the event, and we’ve also spotted some bloggers in the mix. I saw ShaolinTiger, KYspeaks, Kimberlycun, Mellissa, sixthseal, and Redmummy, among others. Thank you all for coming too!
I think we finally found the magic touch and I can see it in Lemon’s eyes. This Valentine’s was the best yet, and I truly believe we are going to be in this for the long haul. I love you Lemon. 
After these past few weeks’ tireless campaigning effort for caps, the big picture is slowly coming into shape. I’m glad to announce that this thing is going to be massive! But we could not have done it without you, so a big applause for you, you, and you who donated. Thanks!
The purple heart is going to be filled with over 30,000 bottle caps, spanning 50 square feet, and towering 10 feet high!
We are now trying to make the event big and get everyone to attend, it’ll be awesome. You can bring your Valentine’s partner and come to our purple heart event too ok, the details:
There will be balloons for the kids, temporary tattoos, and Ribena Dance challenges (with prize of course), dice game, throwing game, and other activities. The best thing is of course, Lemon and I are going to be there, and we are serving free Ribena for everyone!

I think Chinese New Year must be one of the longest new year celebration of any kind, I don’t know any other culture with new year that run for half a month. Of course none of us are complaining.
The last day of Chinese New Year is Chap Goh Meh (or the fifteenth night in the Hokkien dialect), which also coincides with Chinese Valentine’s day. Well, instead of roses and chocolates, the Chinese version of the romantic day involves throwing Mandarin oranges into the lake or sea.
The reason is only understood in Hokkien:
“dim kam, chua hor ang” - which translate to “throw Mandarin oranges, get married to good husband”
So Lemon and I went to Taman Jaya lake to join the crowd. As it turned out, there were literally a sea of people surrounding the lake. My purple eyes must have registered at least a few thousand attendance! There were also lion dance and all the good stuff that you associate with Chinese New Year on full swing (except the fireworks, boohoo)
We had plenty of fun joining the crowd in the celebration. I threw a few lemons to the lake just for kicks. After all neither Lemon nor me are looking to find a partner, we already have each other.
I hope you had a very good CNY and that the uncustomary rainy days did not ruin any of your plans. Now I can’t wait for the real Valentine’s day to be here! So anxious!
Desperate measures is sometimes needed when you really want to get something done, and the only thing that I really want to achieve prior to Valentine’s day is none other than to present my beloved Lemon the biggest purple heart there is.
Since the caps count aren’t exactly flowing in fast enough to meet the deadline, I’ve decided to take it to the road and here’s what happened.
I think it worked marvelously! I’m so very very thankful of everyone who contributed, this is beyond my wildest expectations and you should look at Lemon’s eyes when she saw this video.
I think the battle is half won. We’re going to get there, in style.
